The government seeks Johnson Controls International (JCI) Metasys DDC specialist to work
on the NAVFAC Far East (FE) JCI Metasys DDC system in support of the stand-up and
operation of the NAVFAC Far East Facility and Energy Operations Center (FEOC) and Smart
Grid system.
The support resource will collaborate with various stakeholders to configure building level
heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) direct digital control (DDC) systems to
integrate HVAC equipment and related devices into a central DDC server. The requisite
duties, knowledge, and experience are detailed below:

The support resource will collaborate with various stakeholders to configure building level
heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) direct digital control (DDC) systems to
integrate HVAC equipment and related devices into a central DDC server. The requisite
duties, knowledge, and experience are detailed below:
- Configure building level DDC using JCI Metasys to integrate HVAC equipment and related devices into a central JCI Metasys server
- Serve as the NAVFAC FE subject matter expert (SME) regarding JCI Metasys
- Participate in design and submittal reviews for new construction and renovation projects
- Follow established DDC standards for the projects
- Monitor the JCI Metasys system for alarms, overrides, deviations from setpoints,failures/outages, and other anomalies and coordinate with appropriate personnel to troubleshoot and resolve issues
- Provide quality assurance and quality control for corrective actions taken to address operational issues
- Provide recommendations to optimize building system performance
- Conduct operational analysis of DDC and associated equipment using JCI Metasys,Smart Grid analytics, and data from other applications such as AMI and SCADA
- Collect, maintain, and analyze operational data for integrated DDC systems
- Perform quality assurance for Smart Grid and DDC energy analytics
- Implement and monitor reliability and resiliency metrics to maximize system/equipment life and minimize breakdown maintenance
- Advise and assist efforts to accomplish DDC system onboarding into the Smart Grid system
- Experience with operation and maintenance of HVAC systems
- Assist CIO with performing Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and
- Assist CIO with conducting ACAS scans and in generating reports Preferred Qualifications (Desired):
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
- Knowledge of BACnet MS/TP, BACnet/IP, and other industrial communication protocols
- Knowledge of HVAC Systems equipment and operation
- Knowledge of HVAC Control Systems
- Knowledge of utility information systems and energy-management technologies
- Five (5) years of related experience and/or training including military or civilian experience
- Problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Familiarity with ACAS scans, applying patches, and implementing DISA STIGs and Benchmarks
- Experience supporting activities to achieve and maintain ATO including submitting Memorandum for Record (MFR) for change requests for all newly installed devices

Pay: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
